Ticlopidine is an antiplatelet medication. It works by preventing platelets from sticking together, thereby decreasing the formation of harmful blood clots. This lowers the chance of stroke or heart attack.

Ticlopidine is used to prevent Stroke. It decreases the chances of having another stroke, heart attack, or death from a disease related to your heart or blood vessels.

Ticlopidine is an antiplatelet medicine, or blood thinner. It works by preventing cells called platelets from sticking together and helps to prevent your blood from clotting inside veins and arteries. This helps the blood flow freely around your body thereby preventing a stroke. Take this medicine regularly and make appropriate lifestyle changes to achieve maximum benefits. It is often prescribed along with a low dose of aspirin which also helps to prevent blood from clotting.
Directions for Use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ticlopidine is to be taken with food.

Safety Advice
ALCOHOL
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Ticlopidine.
DRIVING
Ticlopidine may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
LIVER
Ticlopidine should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Ticlopidine may be needed.
